Indaba Aouth Africa Tourism Trade Show

It took nearly two days to get to Durban, South Africa, but here I am at the third largest travel trade show in the world INDABA and it’s just totally overwhelming. Over 13,000 tour operators, tourism reps, journalists have decended onto this coastal city. South Africa Airlines which flies out of JFK was one of the most pleasant flights I’ve ever taken. The South Africans have a hospitality gene that is second to none. They will do anything to make your travels more enjoyable. One of my missions on this trip is to to find out about handicapped or disability accesibility as it relates to traveling in South Africa, and found two tour operators who specialize in this form of travel. We’ll be having a TV show on talkintravel TV…check out http://www.talkintravel.tv, in the near future or just this subject so stay tuned for that. In the meantime on this trip will be heading south to Port Elizabeth for a couple nights to a game reserve with a possible stop in two of the surfing meccas of the world, Jefferys Bay and Cape St Francis. And in a few days we will be in Capetown at the SAS Radisson for the end of this spectacular visit. Stay tuned for more entries into this blog as the days progress.
